By participating on a retreat or programme at Samudra Retreats Gozo, you are agreeing to accept all of the following Terms and Conditions on booking.

1. Refund and Cancellation Policies

RETREAT BOOKINGS

To reserve your space we require a 25% deposit of your total reservation fee at the time of booking.

The balance of the retreat fee can be paid by credit card or bank transfer in advance to reach us at least 5 days prior to the retreat start date, or it can be paid on arrival by Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Amex, VPay, UnionPay, JCB, Bankconnect, iIdeal, icard, or Apple, Google and Samsung Pay.

CANCELLATIONS

Deposit Cancellation Refund

* 100% deposit refund for cancellation 61+ days before retreat start date.

* 50% deposit refund for cancellation 31-60 days before retreat start date.

* 0% deposit refund for cancellation 0-30 days before retreat start date.

Fee Balance Cancellation Refund

If you have paid the fee balance by bank transfer in advance of the retreat start date:

* 100% balance refund for cancellation 61+ days before retreat start date.

* 75% balance refund for cancellation 31-60 days before retreat start date.

* 25% balance refund for cancellation 0-30 days before retreat start date.

If you depart early during a Samudra Retreat the full fee charges still apply.

If you require a Visa to visit Malta it is your responsibility to apply for and obtain this in your country of residence in advance of the Retreat. Samudra Retreats cannot be held responsible if a Visa application is denied or the application is made too late, and you therefore have to cancel the Retreat you have booked. Please check with your country’s Maltese Embassy or Consulate how long a visa takes to process prior to booking your place on a Samudra Retreat.

Please check with your airline about its cancellation policy. Samudra Retreats is not responsible for travel reservations booked to attend cancelled Retreats or programmes.

In the unlikely event that Samudra Retreats have to cancel a Retreat or programme for any reason, including low registration, you’ll receive about one to two weeks’ notice and may choose one of the following:

• A 25% discount on your room package for a future Retreat within 6 months of the date of the cancelled Retreat (some exclusions may apply)

• A 100% refund

2.Maximum Flight Price Offer

The maximum flight price offer is valid for all Samudra Retreats starting from June 1st to 23rd September 2024. If your return flight to Malta costs over €300, we will cover the difference of up to a maximum of €500. Therefore the maximum discount will be €200. This discount will be deducted from your Retreat fee balance due.

This offer is valid only for return flights from any European Union country, Switzerland or the UK to Malta and does not include two single flights to and from Malta from and to two different destinations.

The return flight must be direct and the lowest obtainable economy fare at the time of booking, with up to 1 x checked-in baggage and or one carry on baggage.

To qualify for this offer flights must be booked at least one month in advance of the Retreat start date and you need to contact us before booking your return flight to Malta.

3.For Educational and Informational Purposes Only

Samudra Retreats Gozo is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended to substitute professional medical or mental health advice, diagnoses, or treatment.

4.Not Medical, Mental Health, or Religious Advice

Within our retreat team we hold certificates and degrees in; Yoga Teaching, Ayurvedic Health Practitioner, Social Care, Vegetarian and Vegan Nutritionist, Reiki Practitioner, Thai and Lomi Lomi Massage Practitioner, Meditation and Breathwork Practitioner. However, we are not providing health care, medical or therapy services, or attempting to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any physical, mental or emotional issue, disease or condition. The information given in the retreats does not constitute medical advice, and does not establish any kind of patient-client relationship. 

You agree and acknowledge that we are not providing medical advice, mental health advice, or religious advice in any way. Always seek the advice of your own Medical Provider and/or Mental Health Provider regarding any questions or concerns you have about your specific health or any medications, herbs or supplements you are currently taking and before implementing any recommendations or suggestions from our retreats.

5.Personal Responsibility

You acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily in our retreats and that you are solely and personally responsible for your choices, actions and results, now and in the future. You accept full responsibility for the consequences of your use, or non-use, of any information provided in our retreats, and you agree to use your own judgment and due diligence before implementing any idea, suggestion or recommendation from our retreats to your life, in any aspect.

6.No Guarantees

Our role is to support, assist, and guide you in reaching your own goals, but your success depends primarily on your own efforts, motivation, commitment and follow-through. We cannot predict and we do not guarantee that you will attain a particular result, and you accept and understand that results differ for each individual. Each individual’s results depend on his or her unique background, dedication, desire, motivation, actions, commitment, and numerous other factors beyond my knowledge and control. You fully agree that there are no guarantees as to the specific outcome or results you can expect from participating in our retreats.

7.Marketing

From time to time, we may promote, affiliate with, or partner with other individuals or businesses who will be assisting in our marketing plans. In the spirit of transparency, We want you to be aware that there may be retreats where journalists or bloggers will join the retreat. Please note that we are highly selective, and we only invite those who we respect and are in line with our ethos and values. The journalists and/or bloggers are not allowed to copyright anything about your personal life or experience. They will solely be reporting on their own personal experience. By participating on a retreat with us, you agree that you are fully aware of the possibility of journalists and/or bloggers joining the retreat with you. You are agreeing that Samudra Retreat Gozo is not liable in any way for any publications written that may include the retreat you participate in.

8.Media & Photo Policy

Occasionally Samudra Retreats staff, volunteers, or contractors will take photos and videos throughout the Retreat, or will use images, video, and/or audio from recorded virtual sessions, to use in promotional materials such as on our website, e-mails, and social media accounts.

By being on a Samudra Retreat, and/or by participating in any virtual programmes with your video on when we are recording, you are authorising and consenting that Samudra Retreats shall have the rights to use and permanently retain any/all photographs, audio and video recordings taken during your stay at Samudra Retreats or during a virtual recording. Samudra Retreats reserves the right to use these assets for all purposes relating to Samudra Retreats business and not-for-profit activities. We usually let guests know when there is a photographer in attendance or when we are recording a virtual session, and we strive to represent all images in an honest and respectful way.

If you do not wish to be included in photographs or recordings on a Samudra Retreats, please sign an opt-out form at registration when you arrive and ensure that you identify yourself to any photographers on site. If a photo is being taken and you are in a position to do so, please do not partake in the photo. If you do not wish to be included in any virtual recordings, please turn off your video and use the chat function when we are recording. Please ask for assistance if you need any support.

9.Testimonials

We present real world experiences, testimonials and other people’s experiences on our website and across social media platforms. These are not intended to represent or guarantee that current or future guests will achieve or experience something similar; rather these testimonials represent what is possible.

10.Liability Waiver

I understand that Samudra Retreats requests that I check-out in person at the Samudra Reception on or before my departure. In the event that I depart without checking out, I authorise Samudra Retreats to charge my credit card for any outstanding balance on account.

I acknowledge that while at Samudra Retreats I am responsible for my own well being. I therefore do not hold Samudra Retreats, event presenters or organisers responsible for any accident, injury, loss, difficulty or resulting expense that may occur while I am registered at Samudra Retreats for a programme, event, or holiday.

I understand that all illegal drugs and substances are forbidden on Samudra Retreats property.

11. Limitation of Liability

By participating in our retreats, you agree to absolve Samudra Retreats Gozo of any liability or loss that you or any other person may incur during the retreat. You agree that we will not be liable to you, or to any other individual, company or entity, for any type of damages, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, equitable or consequential loss or damages, for use of or reliance at our retreat centre. You agree that we do not assume liability for accidents, delays, injuries, harm, loss, damage, death, lost profits, personal or business interruptions, misapplication of information, physical or mental disease or condition or issue, or any other type of loss or damage due to any act or default by anyone in the Samudra Retreats Gozo staff, partners or otherwise anyone affiliated with our business.

12.Indemnification and Release of Claims

You hereby fully and completely hold harmless, indemnify and release Samudra Retreats Gozo and any of our team members, or anyone otherwise affiliated with our business or us from any and all causes of action, allegations, suits, claims, damages, or demands whatsoever, in law or equity, that may arise in the past, present or future that is in any way related to our retreats.

13.No Warranties

We make no warranties of any kind. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties.

14.Errors and Omissions

Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information shared on or through Samudra Retreats Gozo, the information may inadvertently contain inaccuracies or errors. You agree that we are not responsible for the views, opinions, or accuracy of facts referenced on or through Samudra Retreats Gozo, or of those of any other individual or company affiliated with our business in any way.
